The UHDcode HEVC Decoder library is designed for the highest possible performance on a wide variety of hardware platforms.
Performance optimizations include:
- Highly parallel multi-threaded architecture – insures full utilization of many-core processors
- Hand-tuned assembly code optimizations – takes advantage of the latest instruction sets on modern CPUs, including SSE, AVX and AVX2
- GPU Acceleration – Using OpenCL, UHDcode can offload certain compute-intensive tasks to the powerful graphics processing unit found in modern integrated processors (such as AMD’s Kaveri APUs), or to discrete graphics boards such as AMD’s Radeon graphics.
